A midst the controversy surrounding the early declaration of NEET-UG 2024 results and the unusually high number of top scorers, Anand police have uncovered a major fake marksheet scam with nationwide reach. Siddhi alias Ricky Rashmikant Shah, a resident of Ahmedabad, has been arrested, while two others, Bhavin Patel, also from Ahmedabad, and Mehul Rajput from Vadodara, are being questioned. Police sources say that the scam, believed to be the biggest of its kind, involves 90 forged marksheets from 17 educational institutions. These were recovered from S P Study Planner and L L P Overseas, an office located in the heart of Anand's educational hub on Vidyanagar Road.
