Airport assailants are being given special treatment. This is two-tier policing... if CPS is not going to charge them, then we will'

The Reform UK leader and his fellow MPs have written to Home Secretary Yvette Cooper about two-tier policing in Britain.

It followed the emergence of CCTV showing an officer kicking and stamping on the head of Fahir Amaaz, 19, as he and his brother Muhammed Amaad, 25, were restrained by officers.

Further video footage released days later showed the lead-up to the incident on July 23, when two female police officers were struck and knocked to the ground before Mr Amaaz was incapacitated with a Taser.

No charges have so far been brought over the incident. Four men arrested on suspicion of affray and assault remain on bail. One Greater Manchester Police officer is under investigation in connection with the brothers' arrests and has been suspended.

A second officer was advised they were also under investigation shortly after two other men were arrested.

In a press conference yesterday, Mr Farage and his deputy Richard Tice questioned the delay in charging the men over the attack and said they would bring a private prosecution if it took too long.

The MPs said they have a legal team on standby and would pay for the process through a crowdfunding campaign.

Speaking in London, Mr Farage said the Manchester incident had been "buried and forgotten about" before showing a clip of the first part of the altercation, which emerged in footage leaked to the media.
