Thirteen-year-old Anna Beaumont had been with her family at Discovery Cove in Orlando, local officials said yesterday, when emergency services were called.
She was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but died the next day.
Her death last Tuesday is being treated as an accidental drowning by Florida's medical examiner's office but remains under investigation.
