VIRGIL VAN DIJK is a big fan of Arne Slot's new 'home comforts rule' for Liverpool's games at Anfield.
The Dutch head coach has made a superb start to life at the club, losing just one game - a surprise home defeat against high-flying Nottingham Forest - and his side are four points clear at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand over second-placed Chelsea.
They have won 12 and drawn three of their top-flight matches while, in the Champions League, they have won all six games so far, and are in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
It could hardly have started better for him.
Fellow countryman and Liverpool captain Van Dijk is loving not only winning most weeks but a new rule Slot put in place, which allows players to stay in their own homes rather than at a hotel before a home match.
Van Dijk said ahead of welcoming Leicester to Merseyside tonight: "It's everyone's preference, but it's the rules now.
