'I had a devil of a time after big Prada role'

THE Devil Wears Prada star Anne Hathaway has revealed the film helped her sharpen her style to a fine point - as it made designers flock to her.

The American actress, 41, looks back fondly on her role as Andy, a rookie assistant to Meryl Streep's demanding Miranda Priestly, a fashion magazine's editor-in-chief.

Anne explained to Vogue France of the 2006 comedy: "I think that before The Devil Wears Prada, I didn't understand that fashion was like a family. Thanks to the role of Andy Sachs, I got to meet them, get to know them - and therefore love them."
