FORMER Strictly star Debbie McGee turned down a date with movie heartthrob Omar Sharif when she was 21 because she assumed he just wanted to sleep with her.
The widow of magician Paul Daniels admits she has not had many romantic approaches since he died eight years ago but she refuses to go on dating apps.
She said: "I really believe that if you look for romance you won't find it. It has to just happen.
