Telecoms engineer Bradley Richards, 29, suffered six fractures in his spine and neck along with internal bleeding.

He believes he was knocked unconscious on the Singapore Airlines flight and woke with blood pouring from his head.

Bradley said he "immediately felt spinal pain" and had to be lifted into a wheelchair when the plane landed in Bangkok.

He described the experience as like "something out of a movie" and his injuries mean he will have to find another line of work when he has recovered.

Bradley, from Benfleet, Essex, was travelling on flight SQ321 from Heathrow to Singapore when it was hit by turbulence last month.
