Sara Sharif's killer dad scared of repeat attack inside prison

Sharif, who abused and murdered his 10-year-old daughter Sara was scarred for life as two inmates slashed his neck with the jagged lid of a tuna tin during an ambush in his cell.

He had been viewed by prisoners at HMP Belmarsh as a likely target. Sources say he was lucky to survive the attack weeks into his life sentence and is now pleading to be isolated.

An insider added that Sharif, 43, is desperate to stay on the prison's hospital section where he was taken for emergency care. They said: "He is not back on the wing yet, and may have to be placed in solitary for his own safety.

"The word is that others will try another attack - he has a target on his back because of who he is and what he did.
