RUUD VAN NISTELROOY is adamant he wants to stay at Manchester United and even hinted he has long-term sights set on being the permanent manager.
That will give Ruben Amorim a dilemma when the new head coach starts his two-and-a-half year deal on Monday.
Amorim is bringing in his own backroom staff but Van Nistelrooy has more than 18 months left to run on the United contract he signed in the summer.
And ahead of his fourth and final match as interim manager - against Leicester tomorrow the Dutchman said: "I knew that coming to United was a special occasion, where I felt I wanted to be part of this journey with the club.
