The England and Manchester United legend, who Coleen told campmates was a budding poet, also said he would one day like to enter the jungle himself.
Wayne, 39, who now manages Plymouth Argyle, said: "Maybe, if I'm not working, I would like to do it. But at the minute, obviously, that's not possible."
Discussing his love of poetry, Wayne also confirmed he was penning an ode to his wife of 16 years.
He said: "I've always liked writing poems and expressing my feelings in a different way. So there will be one waiting for her, for sure."
