A journey to Nazi heart of of darkness

Charles will become the first British monarch to visit the notorious site in occupied Poland where at least a million were murdered in the Second World War.

Representatives from more than 20 countries will take part in the historic event on January 27.

Survivors of the Holocaust, in which six million Jews were slaughtered, will also attend.

The monarch, whose presence will be seen as a huge boost to organisers, has long been a vocal opponent of anti-semitism.
