IT has taken Ruben Amorim just three games to erase Manchester United's early season woes and provide a glimpse of a brighter future.

Under their new Portuguese coach (left), United have two wins and a draw, this victory taking them into the top half of the table and continuing their unlikely push for a Champions League spot.

With every game under Amorim and the huge progress United's players are making, it seems even more puzzling why the club hierarchy waited so long before finally pulling the trigger on Erik ten Hag.
