DEMENTIA SLOWING PILL ON WAY TO NHS

A PILL that slows down the progress of Alzheimer's disease could be rolled out on the NHS.

Experts will rule on the use of the drug, called HMTM, in April.

If approved, it would represent the biggest step forward in the treatment of NHS dementia patients in decades.
