NEW boss Ivan Juric thought he had breathed life into Southampton but Eberechi Eze had others ideas.
Juric watched rock-bottom Saints take the lead at Selhurst Park through Tyler Dibling their first goal under the unorthodox Croat.
But Trevoh Chalobah headed a controversial equaliser and Eze (left) then popped up with a stunning winner.
It was the first time Palace had come from behind to win a Premier League match since January 30. And it lifted them six points clear of the drop zone.
For Saints, though, it's now just one solitary win in 32 Premier League matches, and a huge mountain to climb for manager Juric (circled).
Palace started the day just three points above the relegation zone but they had at least put a little run of form together going into the game.
And their situation was not as dire as Southampton's. Only two Premier League teams have ever had as few points as them after 18 games before, and both finished bottom.
