THE King has presented a D-Day veteran with a card for his 100th birthday at Buckingham Palace.Jim Miller, who is 100 today, landed on the Normandy beaches in June 1944 as part of the Allied operation to liberate occupied Western Europe.The monarch arranged the invitation after hearing of his heroics as part of preparations to honour the fallen at the 80th anniversary commemorations in the UK and France next week.War hero Jim said: "I was totally surprised and delighted to be invited to Buckingham Palace.
