UKRAINE slammed Vladimir Putin's terrifying airstrikes on Christmas Day after 106 Shahed "kamikaze" drones and 78 missiles were fired.
One person was killed and more than a dozen were injured but it is feared the toll could rise.
Hundreds of thousands were left in the cold after Ukraine's energy infrastructure was hit, sending people fleeing for shelter.
Ukraine's air force said it intercepted 59 missiles and 54 drones, with 52 more drones jammed.
President Volodymyr Zelensky added: "Putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhumane? "They continue to fight for a blackout in Ukraine."
