In July, Ofwat's plans showed it was expecting to raise the typical water bill by around £19 a year over the next five years - £94 in total.The 21% hike would take average bills to about £535.Tom MacInnes, at Citizens Advice, said: "Many house- holds will struggle to shoulder these price rises." Some water companies are reportedly pushing for a much higher increase.
