£100K AWARD FOR CRASH BLAZE FANS

A GROUP of St Johnstone fans have been awarded a collective £100,000 payout after a supporters' bus burst into flames.

Five people were rushed to hospital following the terrifying blaze on the A9 near Auchterarder, Perthshire, in November 2021.

Nine fans suffered injuries ranging from broken bones, fractures, cuts and bruises and PTSD.

The coach-load of about 70 supporters were on their way back to Perth from a league cup match at Hampden in Glasgow.

Lawyers acting for the fans revealed Stagecoach had admitted liability.
