BARTON'S £75K COST FOR 'BIKE NONCE' JIBE

JOEY Barton has apologised to Jeremy Vine and agreed to pay him £75,000 in damages to settle a High Court libel claim.

In an online post, Barton said the allegations he made against Vine, including calling him a “bike nonce”, were untrue. The broadcaster, 59, had sued Barton for harassment and libel over 14 posts on X.

A judge ruled last month that 11 of the posts could defame Vine.
