GEORGE HORNE dedicated Glasgow's URC triumph to their absent supporters and revealed they had been fired up to make up for previous heartbreaks.

Warriors came from 13-0 down to stun the Bulls on their own patch in Pretoria to win their first trophy since 2015.

The team had come close to landing more silverware since, losing the 2019 final to Leinster and then last year's Challenge Cup final to Toulon.

But Franco Smith's men put all that disappointment behind them as they battled past the Stormers, Munster and then the Bulls in the play-offs to become league champions for the first time in nine years.

Very few Warriors fans were inside the stadium to see it happen given they had less than a week after the semi-final to arrange the long and costly trip to South Africa.
