Experts feed up predators in bid to save capercaillie

PUTTING down food near capercaillie eggs to draw away predators could help save it from extinction, says a study.

It is believed there are only about 500 of the ground-nesting birds left in the wild in the UK and its decline has been partly blamed on predators such as pine marten eating their eggs and chicks.
