ENGLAND - 22
FIJI - 30
ENGLAND head off to the World Cup in tatters after a woeful warm-up series ended in defeat to Fiji.
It was England’s first Test loss to Fiji in their history – a new low plumbed for a side which, under the struggling Steve Borthwick, looks lost.
It was their sixth defeat in nine matches under their floundering head coach and one which sends them to France for the tournament with England’s supporters in despair.
Following the Twickenham shambles, England No.8 Ben Earl said: “We are low. We all want to win and we know the pressure that comes with playing for England. Everyone will write us off and say that we don’t have a chance. We want to prove people wrong.”
