SANDRO TONALI will be blocked from making a quick move back to Italy - as Eddie Howe backs him to form a partnership with Bruno Guimaraes at Newcastle.
The midfield playmaker has been touted as a target for former club Milan or a £50million option for Real Madrid after his excellent performances for Italy.
Tonali missed most of last season and the start of this campaign after being banned for betting on games, and Howe is "building him back in the team."
It is a key week for Newcastle, who play Chelsea in the league and Carabao Cup before hosting Arsenal on Saturday. The Toon have not won at Stamford Bridge in 12 years, failing to score 17 times there in the Premier League era.
