WAGs to riches with Lionesses

THERE have been two very different tales of women and the beautiful game recently.

On the one hand we had the wonderful England Lionesses, who have fought long and hard on and offthe field to push women’s football into the mainstream.

And, after a heroic display at Wembley against the Germans to win the Euros, they have no doubt changed the perception of girls playing football in the UK forever.

Then we have Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney; two fame-obsessed twerps whose main achievements in life revolve around marrying male footballers.
