CRAIG BELLAMY has revealed that Spurs didn't want to cash in on Joe Rodon.
As the Leeds star prepared to make his 50th appearance for Wales, the head coach paid tribute to the 27-year-old defender.
Bellamy said he "couldn't be any happier" with the stopper, who was plucked out of Swansea to play for Tottenham for £11m back in 2020.
Eventually, after two loan spells, they offloaded him to Leeds last summer and Bellamy believes Spurs held onto him for so long because "they thought he was that good".
He said: "I remember when he made his mistake for Spurs against Liverpool six or seven years ago.
"I texted him straight afterwards and said, 'Keep your head up, you're going to be a top player!'
