HULL boss Tim Walter is making a success of the Championship's impossible job.
Liam Rosenior was sacked, harshly, by colourful Tigers owner Acun Ilicali for failing to make last season's play-offs and that is the challenging task set for Walter.
It has been made even more difficult because 12 players left in the summer, including Jaden Philogene and Jacob Graves and loanees Fabio Carvalho and Liam Delap.
Nine recruits were signed up before the transfer window closed and it has taken time for Walter to bed everyone in at the MKM Stadium.
But Hull have recovered from their winless start in their first six games to reel off three successive victories.
They have climbed to ninth ahead of today's testing trip to Norwich.
