SHE is the first lady of darts the face viewers will see every night when they tune into the arrows at Chucking'em Palace.

But she never dreamed of fronting the Paddy Power PDC World Championship until a producer's one-line email out of the blue: "Do you like darts?"

Sky Sports anchor Emma Paton was formerly an Olympic-standard athlete over 400m, training with former Commonwealth heptathlon champion Kelly Sotherton.

Now she presides over some of the greatest Christmas stories since Elf, including Luke Littler's fairy-tale run to the final as a 16-year-old.
