Sebi introduces uniform data sharing policy for research

THE SECURITIES AND Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Friday directed market infrastructure institutions (MIIs) to adopt a uniform policy for sharing data for research publications.

Stock exchanges, clearing corporations, and depositories will have to segregate such data into two baskets—one that can be shared with the public and the second that cannot be made public.

MIIs have to share the segregated data and seek the regulator's approval within 60 days.
