Infosys taps staff to build ideas factory

In a first, Infosys Ltd has asked employees to think out of the box and come up with new ideas that can be scaled up and offered to clients as part of a business incubator programme.

BENGALURU:

A core objective of the 'Be The Next Business Incubator' programme, which is open to all employees across job levels, locations and subsidiaries, is to generate new revenue streams and growth opportunities, the Bengaluru-based company said in a December 26 internal mail seen by Mint.

Apart from trying to boost additional business from clients, the move appears to be a way for the country's second-largest information technology services company to retain talent by giving employees dissatisfied with monotonous work a chance to explore and work on new technologies.
