BJP Demands CBI Probe Into Contractor's Suicide in K'taka

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader N Ravikumar and other party workers on Saturday called for a CBI inquiry into the alleged death by suicide of a contractor at Bidar in Karnataka, citing the need for transparency and accountability, and vowed to continue demanding the resignation of Priyank Kharge, a state minister and son of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.

KALABURAGI/NEW DELHI:

Ravikumar also urged the state government to provide compensation of ₹1 crore to the contractor's family, as well as a government job to support them in their time of need.
