285 Drones Shot Down Along India-Pakistan Border Last Year

At least 285 drones carrying drugs and arms into India were shot down and recovered by the Border Security Force (BSF) at the India-Pakistan border last year, officials said on Wednesday.

NEW DELHI: The number of drones shot down was the highest till date. In 2023, the figure stood at 107, 22 in 2022 and one in 2021. Senior BSF officials said that the increase in drone recoveries is the result of new anti-drone technology at several points along the border.
