DARBHANGA: Ushering in a new era of administrative setup at Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), the largest government hospital in North Bihar, two senior most women professors of Bihar Medical Education Service cadre have been officially notified to the post of principal and superintendent respectively.
These appointments, under the executive arrangement, will remain effective from the date of issue of notification till the next order.
Dr Alka Jha, outgoing superintendent, has been appointed as principal. She succeeds Dr Kripanath Mishra, who retired on December 31, 2024. Meanwhile, Dr Sheela Kumari, incumbent head of physiology department, has been appointed new superintendent of DMCH.
The notification issued by Renu Kumari, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), health department, outlined the new administrative protocols.
