BPSC holds awaited exam amid paper leak rumours, complaints

While the examination went peacefully almost everywhere, some centres, especially one in Patna, reported complaints and protests by the students.

Some rumours circulated on social media that the "BPSC question paper of December 13 exam" was leaked, and some videos even showed the contents of it. There was no official comment on it however.

At the Bapu Exam Centre, Patna, when students alleged that paper along with OMR answer sheet had reached outside the centre premises and that the exam's sanctity had been compromised, as well as with other management anomalies, the district magistrate reached the spot to placate them. But the DM lost his cool and slapped a student.

A video of DM Chandrashekhar Singh purportedly slapping the student later even went viral on social media. HT however couldn't confirm the authenticity of the video, and neither the district authorities nor anyone from the student community commented on this.
