POLICE have confirmed a body has been found in the search for a missing man from Salford.
Andrew Heys, from Eccles, was reported missing from home after vanishing in the middle of the night.
Andrew’s mum Jeanette, who had been staying with him due to an appointment he had the following day, said he went to bed that night at around 11pm on Monday.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said a body been recovered from the Barton Bridge area of Salford, following a search of the surrounding areas.
Police said although the body has not been formally identified, Andrew’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Andrew’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner, the force said.
