The Conservative Party in North Trafford has accused the council of being ‘disrespectful’ after shortening the traditional parade route.

Traditionally, they say, veterans and members of parading organisations make their way from the Metros Club to on Moss Road, to the war memorial, a mile away on Chester Road, facing the entrance to Gorse Hill Park.

Afterwards, they then make their way along Chester Road, back to the club via Davyhulme Road East.
