Park festival is sure to be wild

Manchester has had some amazing wildlife events in recent years and others we take for granted, like foxes, sparrowhawks, kingfishers, cormorants and hundreds of pied wagtails, in our city centre.

Our parks and nature reserves are a magnet for wildlife, making Greater Manchester towns and cities a key part of the UK Nature Recovery Network, that the Wildlife Trusts believe is hugely important in this biodiversity crisis.

Of course we are close to moors, rivers and lakes, so we should be expecting to see lots of plants and creatures taking back what we have stolen over the centuries. How do you package all this wonderful nature in one place? Well at the Manchester Festival of Nature in Heaton Park, next weekend.
