Shutdown plan to ride out Bee Bike shortage

SOME Bee Bike stations will be closed for a month to 'address issues with bike availability.

Bee Bikes, officially called Starling Bank Bikes, are the bicycles available for short-term-hire from Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).

A key pillar of the mayor's Bee Network integrated public transport system, they cover Manchester city centre, and parts of Trafford and Salford.

But the bikes have been plagued by anti-social behaviour recently, TfGM managers have said, prompting the closures.
