GB News reporter Ellie Costello, 29, said she was left shaking in terror during a 16-month campaign of harassment by Leo Jones, who also turned up at the TV studio where she works.
Her brave decision to go to court led to Jones, a former star of ITV show Airline, being handed a five-year restraining order by magistrates in St Albans. The 42-year-old was also given a suspended 26-week jail sentence.
Ellie told Anne Diamond and Stephen Dixon on GB News Breakfast yesterday how her ordeal started with creepy messages and soon escalated.
Revealing how she was targeted on the day of the Queen's funeral, she said: "So by this point it had been going on for over a year...16 months in total.
And it was the Queen's funeral. "I wanted to do a really good job. I've been working hard all morning.
