Kemi: Right leader could kick Keir out in one term

Bookies' favourite Ms Badenoch claims those who voted for Nigel Farage's party "lost" the election because the nation now has a Labour Government "doing everything we hate".

But she says the Conservatives can "kick out Keir Starmer in one term" under her control.

The leadership ballot closes on Thursday at 5pm, with the country learning on Saturday whether Ms Badenoch or ex-immigration minister Robert Jenrick will succeed Rishi Sunak.

Savanta's poll shows that more voters have an "unfavourable" view of Labour leader Sir Keir (48 per cent) than of Ms Badenoch (33 per cent) or Mr Jenrick (30 per cent).
