The London-born actor, 32, is the latest dashing clergyman to lead the congregation, while also operating a sideline in sleuthing.

Rishi, who plays Reverend Alphy Kotteram, takes over from Tom Brittney who is stepping down from his role as William Davenport in season nine, currently being filmed. Tom, 32, took over from James Norton in 2019.

Rishi was spotted filming his first scenes in the Cambridgeshire village of Grantchester, alongside Robson Green, 58, who plays Insp Geordie Keating in the 1950s detective show.
