The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made headlines on Sunday with the arrest of NHAI general manager Purushottam Lal Choudhary in connection with a bribery case amounting to Rs 10 lakh.

This arrest, along with six others, marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation.

The case revolves around allegations of bribery involving several individuals, including NHAI consultant Sharad Verma, resident engineer Prem Kumar Sinha, and four employees of PNC Infratech-Satyanarayana Anguluri, Brijesh Mishra, Anil Jain, and Shubham Jain. According to officials, these individuals were apprehended on Saturday evening in connection with the bribery scheme.
