Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after being sworn in for an unprecedented third consecutive term, commenced his duties by authorizing the release of the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Nidhi scheme. This initiative, aimed at bolstering farmer welfare, is set to benefit 9.3 crore farmers across India with a substantial disbursement of around Rs 20,000 crore.
"Ours is a Government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan. It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come," the Prime Minister stated after signing the file at his South Block office.
Key Initiatives of Previous Terms
During his previous terms, Prime Minister Modi's administration has launched several transformative initiatives. These include:
Ayushman Bharat: A healthcare initiative aiming to provide affordable medical care.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana: A financial inclusion program targeting universal access to banking facilities.
Housing for All: An ambitious plan to provide affordable housing to all citizens by 2022.
Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Man Dhan Yojana: A pension scheme for unorganized sector workers.
