The meeting, held at the Samvidhan Sadan within the Parliament premises, witnessed a warm reception for the Prime Minister, with chants of ‘Modi Modi’ echoing as he entered. Upon arrival, Prime Minister Modi reverently touched the Constitution of India with his forehead, symbolizing respect for the nation’s foundational document.
During the meeting, JD(S) MP-elect HD Kumaraswamy proposed naming Narendra Modi as the Leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu commended the Prime Minister’s tireless efforts during the election campaign, highlighting his dedication and perseverance. Acknowledging the need for coalition support, BJP MP Rajnath Singh congratulated the newly elected MPs and endorsed Narendra Modi’s leadership for the NDA.
