The National Consumer Commission issued 14 compliance notices to suppliers of non-compliant goods and has warned consumers to be careful when they deal with certain suppliers. Phetho Ndaba, spokesperson for the National Consumer Commission (NCC), said 12 of the suppliers were based in the Western Cape, one in KwaZulu-Natal and another in Gauteng.

The NCC is still investigating 23 for inconsistencies with labelling requirements.
