Kingmaker stoops to conquer
The Free Press Journal|June 08, 2024
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was being projected as a ‘kingmaker’ after the BJP could not cross the halfway mark in the Lok Sabha polls, surprised those present in the Parliaments Central Hall on Friday when he attempted to touch Narendra Modi's feet.

In a video that has now gone viral, Nitish can be seen walking towards Modi with folded hands and bowing to touch his feet. Modi prevents Nitish from doing so halfway and the two leaders proceeded to shake hands.

But it was not an isolated incident as the JD (U) president had touched Modi's knees reverentially after addressing an election rally in Nawada in April. In his election speech, Nitish had even predicted 4,000 seats for BJP.
