Currently, Ahmedabad operates around 200 Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) electric buses, including vehicles supplied by JBM Auto Limited, across more than 200 routes as part of its electric vehicle adoption policy.
In a recent development, Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited finalized a formal agreement with JBM Auto Limited for the operation and maintenance of 343 electric buses. The contract, valued at 1,800 crore, is expected to be fulfilled within a year.
