Nifty index opened on a positive note and witnessed volatile swings in both directions during the first hour. After that, the index moved sideways staying within a 100-point range for the rest of the day. It formed a small-bodied candle with a long upper shadow, which indicates selling pressure on upper levels. The index is also hovering near its 200-day EMA. Now, till it holds below 23800 zones, weakness could be seen towards 23650 then 23550 zones, while hurdles are placed at 23800 then 24000 zones.
