PBD: MEA Jaishankar highlights Odisha's 3Ts

The Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, a significant segment of the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) convention, was inaugurated at Janata Maidan here on Wednesday.

The event commenced in the main plenary hall with Union Ministers S. Jaishankar, Mansukh Mandviya, and Odisha chief minister Mohan Majhi lighting the ceremonial lamp.

"The state provides an unparalleled opportunity to personally experience much of what we will discuss during the PBD. Its cultural festivals and historical sites remind us of why India is celebrated as a civilizational society," Jaishankar stated.

Highlighting Odisha's strategic advantages in trade, technology, and tourism (3Ts), he positioned the state as a prime destination for investment and innovation.

He praised Odisha's ability to harmonize tradition with modernity, aligning with India's overarching developmental aspirations.
