A YOUNG Plymouth woman with several disabilities is a positive force for others in need and loves to make people smile. Despite having several health conditions of her own the "absolute superstar" spends most of her time coming up with ideas to help residents in an "incredible" care home.
Kind-hearted Erin Evershed, who is 23, had a stroke when she was a baby which left her with vision loss (hemianopia) and right-side hemiplegia | (paralysis).
Two years ago, aged 21, Erin had an arterial eye stroke causing lower lefteye vision loss, and she also has epilepsy. Erin has also battled a severe infection when she got chicken pox, which led to endocarditis (a serious infection in the heart's inner lining) leading to another stroke and a brain abscess.
Erin has also had open heart surgery to have her mitral heart valve replaced and was in hospital for months. But despite her disabilities, nothing stops | this young woman.
