WORK to create this year's festive garland at a National Trust property on the banks of the River Tamar has got under way.
Gardeners at Cotehele have counted almost 30,000 dried flowers for their annual Christmas Garland, a festive tradition at the estate since 1956 and the 20th being overseen garDave by head dener Bouch.
Staff and volunteers at the property near Saltash have set to the decorative work and the full 60ft dried flower garland is expected to be finished by Saturday, November 23. Visitors are being invited to see its progress throughout the two-week build.
